Account information: When you register, we collect your name and email address via third-party authentication (e.g., Google sign-in).
Interview content: Audio recordings you create or upload, transcripts you paste or generate, and session metadata you provide (e.g., interview stage, seniority level, and any interview notes you add for context).
Payment information: When you purchase a paid package, our payment processor collects your billing details. We do not store your full payment card information.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
Usage data: Features you use, session counts, plan type, and how you interact with the Services.
Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and timestamps.
Cookies and session analytics: We use cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We also use PostHog, a product analytics tool, which may record session replays (e.g., clicks, scrolls, and navigation patterns) to help us understand how the product is used and improve it. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
2.3 Information From Third Parties
If you sign in via Google or another third-party provider, we receive basic profile information (name, email) as permitted by your account settings with that provider.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the Services: Creating your account, transcribing audio, generating scores and coaching feedback, and maintaining your session history.
- To improve Qipp: Analyzing aggregated, de-identified usage patterns to improve features and performance.
- To communicate with you: Sending service-related notices, billing confirmations, and updates.
- For security and fraud prevention: Protecting the platform and enforcing our Terms.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your interview content or transcripts to train AI models.
4. How We Share Your Information
Service providers: We share data with third-party vendors who help us operate the Services, including Google (authentication), Paddle (payment processing), Deepgram (audio transcription), OpenAI (AI inference), PostHog (product analytics and session recordings), Vercel (hosting), and Neon (database). These vendors process data on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it.
Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, property, or the safety of our users.
Business transfers: We may share information in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of company assets.
We do not share your personal data for advertising purposes.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days unless required by law to retain it.
